Looking into buying new Iron any advice?

And what is benefits of 2400 W iron over 1600 W, what this Watts mean?

what kind of iron are you talking about? One for doing clothes? If so, it doesn't really matter. Pick one with features that you are going to use. Steam is necessary if doing cottons, and the ones that spray the water ahead of the iron are good too.

If that is what you were talking about.

I bought one at Target for about $25. I think that it was a Sunbeam or something like that. It hasn't given me any problems.

if you iron a lot, buy a GOOD iron. i have a rowenta professional ~100 - it's great. nice cushy grip won't get your hands too tired..

also, if you're tall, buy a tall ironing board.. they're a bit more expensive, but it saves you on back aches.

wrinkle free pants FTW!

I haven't owned an iron for over 10 years and it doesn't affect my life one bit.

Well i used to wear ironed clothes so need buy one now, think i go for one of this brands
Black and Decker
Philips
Tefal

Lol mabe i am paranoid about getting every single detail before buying things to much, but i feel its right.

Still is there big difference between 1600W and 2400W irons?

Yep - an iron is an iron. I got some antique looking black & decker thing and it's lasted for years and survived a few falls onto a tile floor. I can't see spending more then $20 on one.
