What DVD BURNER should I get?

I am in the market for a DVD burner.

My needs are:

Burn DVD's to be viewed on my home DVD player
Back UP my DVD's to be viewed on my home DVD player

My budget is $500-600 MAX.

Probably better check which DVD player you have. If you have a DVD player compatible with DVD+RW you could use that.
 
I use the Pioneer DV103 and it works really well. The biggest problem is the burning software out there is not that good yet. So far I've only had one coaster. Just make sure you test everything before you burn. Some movies can't be backed up due to their size.
