Just looking for input. This is gonna be DSL for my apartment at school in San Jose.

check to see if you can get a worldcom reseller, they offer 1.5 down/768 up for $50 a month

Covad is pretty good, had them for 2 years and only 2 outages so they try pretty hard to keep there network problem free.

Crap. I remember reading about that. I think Comcast cable does it as well. Screw them.

I'm most likely getting SBC because of the cheap price. I'm also gonna be splitting the line with two other roommates. Is it worth it to pay an extra $10 for the double upload or not? (Total would be ~$40 rather than $29.99)

Don't get Verizon unless you want to deal with their BS outsourced Tech support.

sbc dsl. good and cheap. the self installation kit is practically too easy to use...

i hate sbc dsl compared to my cox cable...i say you get cable (unless it's charter/earthlink)

Thinking about switching from Earthlink @ $50 a month to Verizon @ $35. Anyone in the Los Angeles area have trouble with Verizon?
