What drivers should i go with?

I bought an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro a few months back and used the Omega drivers to up-it to a 9800 Pro i believe, and used Omegas subsequent drivers. I have not since then updated the drivers for fear of losing the 9800 Pro mod. If I used the new Catalyst drivers coming out on Wed or Omegas new ones based on the new Cat's whenever he gets done wtih them, will they affect the mod for the 9800 Pro on my 9700 Pro? If not, which of the two drivers would you recommend: New Catalyst or Wait for new Omega's based on new Catalyst? Thanks!

If you're happy with the Omega's then I'd say wait for them. I was using the 3.7 Cat's but switched to the Omega. I'm happy with both but the Omega has the builtin overclocker.

If you want to continue to mod your card, you will have to use the omega drivers. If you install the 3.8's when they come out today from ATI, your card will no longer be softmodded.


BTW, only 1 more hour till 3.8's are released!!
