What does your work start time mean to you?

Micromanaging clock watchers are fucking ridiculous.

By 9:00am, I've been at work for 3 hours! :Q

Anyway, I can start between 6 and 8 and my boss doesn't care as long as I get my work done. If I don't show up, doesn't matter unless I do it in excess. If I show up late, same deal. One of the reasons that I've stayed there for nearly 17 years. I don't abuse the system and the small perks are still rewards.

Means I come in within 30 minutes of the start time. Usually, it was 30 minutes after, but I've been going to my new job 20 minutes early cause I do 9.5 hour days.

9am works means I will come into office before that in my shorts. after I settle down for about 5 minutes, I grab my clothes and go downstair to the gym to work out for about 10mins and shower. Once I am done with that, I get my breakfast and back to my desk at 9:30. This is how I work

I don't have a start time, or an end time. I come and go when I feel like it, as long as I'm getting my work done, it doesn't really matter.

I have a 10:30am meeting every morning, I guess that means I need to be there by then.

I'm lucky to have an employer that realizes professional employees need a little more leeway in hours. It generally doesn't matter when we come in, as long as we put in our time.

Old job: Start time was 9 AM... and I showed up at 9:15 every day and grabbed some breakfast before I logged in. They didn't complain about me coming in late, and I didn't complain about staying late. I did complain about the 9 PM conference calls to India, though.

Last job: Start time was 8 AM, and you needed to be at your desk and ready to answer the phone by 8:02. If you didn't show up by 8:05, you better have a good excuse!

Current job: Start time is 8 AM. I can show up at any time between 7:30 and 8:30.
