You see, once upon a time Dodge decided to re-create their image. In 1992, they brought forth the Viper RT/10, a monsterous, uncivilized brute of a car with an 8.0L V10. It produced 400 HP & 400+ ft/lbs of torque from the factory. Its massive 11" wide rear tires could be reduced to a smoldering pile of goo in seconds. The automotive community loved it, people couldn't get enough of it. They begged, pleaded, & offered sexual favors for more. So in 1996, Dodge unleashed the second Viper: The Viper GTS. The same 8.0L V10, this time producing 450 HP & 450 ft/lbs of torque. Only they decided to take the Viper from a brutish roadster to a more civilized coupe. Hence they gave the Viper a top, along with such novelties as glass windows, external door handles, & an air conditioner. And thus was born Viper GTS, the top American sports car ever to hit the road. 0-60 in under 4.4 seconds. Motor Trend clocked it at 186 MPH. Enthusiasts with too much money laughed with glee as they left mere Corvettes cowering in their wake. And Dodge was happy. And Gregg was happy, even though he didn't have any money. Hell, he was only 14 at the time. He couldn't even drive. But still... The Viper GTS remained emblazoned in his mind. Someday, somehow, he will own this beast. And he will get many speeding tickets. And probably kill himself.
All in the name of the...
