I know a lot of you are probably on laptops, but I'm curious what peoples' computer desk or their laptops look like.

If you're willing to share, that is.

Here's mine, feel free to mock:

And yes I'm a big nerd who has action figures up there. Master Chief, Gordon Freeman, Starscream, Protoss, Big Daddy from Bioshock etc.

Hand sanitizer is for the cleanup so you don't get sticky keys or a sticky track ball.

A good plan, though I must confess it's presence is much more about me being a little OCD and slightly germophobic.

I have one in my car in the door too.

Just took that.

That is my computer/tv/cell phone repair station. I really like the lamp. Its bright as fuck and makes every millimeter of whatever it shines on visible.

Hey I like that a lot!

I have a lamp but I specifically bought the dimmest bulb for it I could. I don't like bright lights.

I have both my monitors set to minimum brightness and black electrical tape covering a LOT of LED lights on various stuff haha.

I like your Game of Thrones poster. There are 2 on the wall behind me, Stark and the map of Westeros.

The poster behind my PC is a custom ordered Thief: The Dark Project poster (it's the same game my avatar comes from, same character in the poster)

I don't order posters. I work for a cable company, so a few times a year they change them around and give us the old ones.

I like "The ABCs of Death" one better. Its straight up creepy.

I never have the light on in my room unless I'm working on something, I too like the dark. But its a necessary evil.

Hah, here's a blurry one of one of my setups

Diggin' the old school TV. What do you use it for?

I used to have a set up where I could digitize old VHS tapes, got all my old home movies off of them that way. I had a little TV off to the side and a VCR to help with that. Doing something similar?

I use it for classic gaming consoles, mostly NES/SNES :) They never work right with flatscreens (too much lag, and the blurry result of putting standard def 4:3 on a modern LCD/Plasma is unbearably bad).

evident that's classy stuff!

I like the desk, I like the headphones... never did care for those type of keyboards, but it's a nice looking one.

Is that an animal bed of some kind on the right, on the floor?

Yea I got sick of frakencomputers and I spend a significant chunk of the money on a new build for nice, quiet fans, small case, matching everything, etc. Looks > Speed for me as of ~2005.
