What does "you have a letter in your mailbox" mean?

So I'm walking across the office yesterday, when a co-worker approaches and says, you have a letter in your mail box. Cool, I thought, maybe that x-mas bonus, or something. So I venture into our break room, where all the inter-office mail boxes are kept, but there was no mail!
Next I went to my office, checked my email. No mail found!

So I scratched my head, stood, adjusted my fly, pulled my boxers out of my crack, and went about my business.

The comment never occurred again until later in the evening, as I sipped my martini. What did this co-worker mean? What does "you have a letter in your mail box" mean?

Is this some secret code? What am I missing here? Should I be alarmed by her mention of this fact? :(

It's secret code for "You're incredibly attractive and I want to have a purely sexual relationship with you."

It means she doesn't know who you are and mistook you for someone who had a letter in their mailbox. Sorry dude. Your face just doesn't bear remembering.

I'm pretty sure that was her way of asking if you are gay, and by not denying the fact that you have a letter in your mailbox, you confirmed her suspicions. :(

This is probably the right answer. Either that, or you have the same first name as someone who actually gets mail.

There was a girl behind you, about to ask you out for a drink, but then she decided against it.
