What does XP-90 OEM mean?

then whats the the difference between OEM and retail.

seems like i'm paying for a retail item, am i right?

i think the difference is it will come in a plain white box, and include no fan...also probably no extras that might come in the retail package as goodies

Mine came with all the bizarre fiddly hardware needed to install it on either a 478 p4 or Athlon 754 board. It's beautifully made and works very well. Looks and feels like it cost $100 and with a speed-controlled 90mm fan it's almost totally silent while cooling the daylights out of the processor.

thats a nice deal though... $38 bucks for a NICE heatsink with a NICE fan and some arctic silver :)

I already have a Panaflo fan that I bought a long time ago (but I didn't realize it won't fit in my case), and I want to upgrade my HSF. I think the Overclocking Gods meant for me to buy this HSF.
