What does WU stand for?

It stands for "work unit." They typically are about 350kb to download and will keep even a fast computer crunching for several hours. What kind of systems are you thinking of running SETI on?

ToyMachine:

You may find it surprising that some of us do have multiple machines in our homes doing nothing but SETI, for the purposes of statistics competition and keeping our Team advancing up the ranks of other competing teams in the world! :Q 😀

Though many of us do have multiple systems devoted to S@H, please do not feel that you need to have multiple systems just to join us. Every single work unit (wu) counts, and we are always happy to welcome new members to the TeAm.

Welcome aboard! 🙂

It starts out with one system at home, and then you catch the fever and have to install it on every system in sight (with permission, of course) 🙂
