What does Woody, Citrus Woody, and Aromatic mean?

Alright, I've got my $25 Gift Certificate from Sephora.com and I'm looking to spend it on a "men's fragrance". Only problem is I have no idea what any of them smell like and the info they give is rather confusing.

For example:
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme has a Aromatic Blend.
Versace Metal Jeans for Men has a Woody Citrus Blend.
Burberry Touch for Men has a Woody Blend.

so WTH does all that mean?

I'd recommend you go to your local cologne distributor, and smell them for yourself. Your idea of "woody citrus" may be entirely different that the next guy's...

exactly what it sounds like, ever smell a forest? well its gonna smell like that.


personally i think a person has totry on a cologne to know if it will smell good on him or her because peoples body chemistry will alter the smell a lot. so it could smell awful in the bottle but smell great on you or vice versa.

Damn, didn't really intend on smelling like a forest. I've never heard of any of these colognes before or know of any local store that would sell them. I may just have to take a guess, if it doesn't smell the best I'll give it to my bro.
