What does "Voice from Handset" mean??

I am thinking of buying a Lucent voice capable modem. But the spec's says "voice from handset". Now what does that mean? I don't see mic/speaker jacks on the board nor an internal connector for a soundcard

I think you can plug a regular phone "handset" into the card like you would a telephone.
