What does "Verifying DMI Pool Data" mean?

my mobo is a ECS KT600-A and i cant get past a screen that says "verifying dmi pool data" no matter what i change in the bios.

please help

Might be looking for a boot disk - with an OS on it.

What exactly is the state of the computer - best thing to try first is check there isn't a floppy in the drive, or a non bootable cd in that drive.
Are you trying to install win?
Or is this a working machine?

This is the last thing the BIOS does before it tries to load the OS.

Some BIOSs used to show the message 'Loading OS' before they started loading, but most modern ones don't. They just start loading as soon as they've finished "verifying DMI Pool data".

If your PC stops at that point, it usually means that the BIOS had started loading the OS, but something caused the loading to fail (e.g. files missing, or hard disk corrupted).
