What does turning on "Fast write" for AGP do?

I believe it allows for video memory to be mapped directly to virtual memory address space in such a way that it is faster than the normal way of mapping video memory to virtual address space. But the thing is, doing this is a questionable worth since we don't use that much AGP bandwidth anyway, bus mastering might be effectively faster since it can operate sorta independantly of the processor, and lastly if system memory is substantially higher bandwidth than 8X AGP.

It's suppose to increase performance a little bit, although I dont know exactly what it does. I have also heard that it tends to cause alot of stability problems. Best case scenario its a tiny bit faster.

You can save ink by writing slower...

Some users may experience shortened inkjet lifetimes when using fast writes. Epson printers have short cartridge lifetimes regardless which mode you use.

Ok for a serious answer, you may want to try here.
