Temporary ischemic attack. Blood flow is temporarily reduced to a certain part of the brain and then restored. Patients will often complain of symptoms of "my mouth went numb," "I was slurring my speech" or may have a "drop attack" where muscle tone is lost and the person goes down. It is a symptom that should be evaluated by a physician.
