Nutshell (Alice in Chains)
We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find
And yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...

What do you guys think it means?

Now Seph, to understand this lyrical composition by the great poets Alice in Chains, you must examine the work as a whole.

The singer of the song, the narrator if you will, says that he feels like he has no home. He is trapped in the middle of somewhere. He is trapped in a Nutshell. He feels lost in the world. The imagery is so vivid. It's almost breath-taking! *Sigh* The narrator is in such an uncomfortable, painful state and there is nothing he can do about it, because he has no place like home, which for the normal person is a place to escape your troubles, to relax and such, especially if you have been away for a long time. He would rather be dead than live this way. Obviously, Mr. Seph, you did not really read this wonderful work. Tis a shame.
