This same error appeared with my Tyan Thunder K7 after flashing to bios rev 2.10 running WinXP. Tyan has made a beta bios 2.10.04 that corrected the problem.

I have no idea what board you are running however.

Bottom line, the mainboard will need a new BIOS, but the good news is, I ran both an Asus and Abit board with a similar message until new BIOS were avail with no obvious ill effects.
I think the reference page I gave you confirms that XP can safely bypass this.
