It means that the newest firmware has all the updates in pervious revisions.

I.E.

There the following versions
1.0
1.1
1.2
1.3
1.4

You have version 1.1 right now and want to upgrade to version 1.4. A cumulative one will include revisions from 1.2 and 1.3.

A non-cumulative one forces you to update to 1.2, then 1.3, and finally 1.4

In this case, you only need the latest one. Hope this helps.
