In the Quck and dirty overclocking guide on this page it says "set memory to SPD and 100, this will take memory out of equation". What does he mean by SPD? I understand that SPD means Serial Presence Detect and allows for the BIOS to detect the speed of the memory. When he says "set memory to SPD" does he simply mean to set the timings in the BIOS to what the memory is rated at and lower the frequency to 100MHz?

For example I have RAM that runs at 2-3-2-6 and 216MHz. In my case the author means that I should set the timings to 2-3-2-6 in the BIOS and lower the frequency to 100MHz right? Or wrong?

I was also thinking that he means to just set memory timings to Auto in BIOS so that SPD will set the timings.
