What does this mean? Few restarts before computer boots & posts AFTER changing bios settings........

Im just wondering, because sometimes I OC, and it takes a few rounds of the computer "restarting" before it actually boots and posts.. sometimes it boots and posts right away, sometimes there's a long pause before anything shows up.. can someone explain? if the former happens, is that an automatic sign that the settings are unstable?

Dunno for sure, but on my mobo(Asrock Dual SATA2) that usually means my BIOS changes didn't work or caused a problem. My BIOS resets to default when this occurs.

What kind of setup do you have?

My MSI Neo4 likes to hang up once in a while also. The BIOS starts but never makes it to the memory test. This happens maybe once in 5 reboots. A reset cures it and it has never done it twice in a row so I don't worry about it.
