I'm selling a pretty cheap truck on craigslist and someone responds through email, so I respond back and this is what he sent me.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the email.. I'm highly interested in your item but i
won't be able to come take a look at it as i'm the busy type but
believe it's exactly what you stated in the Ad. Mind you, i will be
paying you with a certified/cashier bank check with the shipper
charges on the check to cover the taxes on the other items to be
pickup by my shipper and my shipping agency will contact you and will
be coming for the pick up of the item from your location and other
items i bought around your location as soon as you confirm to me that
you receive the check and it clears your bank.If this arrangement is
okay by you, Pls. provide your full name, contact address[not p.o box] and a valid
cell # so i can forward it to my financier to mail the payment to you
as soon as possible.
I hope to read from you soonest.

I have no idea what this means, it seems like a scam of some sort but I'm not really sure what his angle is. I emailed him back but I'm not sure i will understand his response. Help me translate this atot.

Sounds like either a scam or an attempt to get your personal information to me.

But what exactly is a cell number and a home address going to get him?

It's a scam. And you might want to disconnect your internet if you can't tell.

I'm certain he's on the up-and-up. It's standard procedure to also send you aq couple thousand $$ extra in the cashier's check and have you refund him the extra. Totally legitimate.

If he used that many question marks, he's totally legit.
