What does this class description mean?

It's Ct201- Systems Analysis & Design. I'm looking at courses right now to see what to take next semester.

"This course presents the information systems development situation and environment. The student will be introduced to the roles of the systems analyst and systems development team, information systems building blocks, and a contemporary systems development methodology. We will also cover the Systems Design and Construction Methods; the middle life cycle activities, tools, and techniques and how they apply to networks, systems and information systems. Finally, students will take part in teams to take on the challenge of identifying systems and problems relating to the systems, proposing theories, and developing solutions for the problems."

WTF does that mean?? I'm kinda undecided right now but likely computers, probably CE or EE (I don't think I'll do cs...).

that class goes something like

problem solving, programming, problem solving, beer, programming, problem solving, business degree

That class is essential for any information technology degree. It encompasses everything up until actually building the system. If you go for any kind of computer degree, you should have to take it. CS and CE students may not have to take it simply because such people are the ones analysts give their "system analysis and design" to physically create.

like elp said, kind of one step up the ladder.

managers hand the analyst a project, the analyst to their thing and break it down and tell the programmers exactly what to program.
