What does the US voting ballot look like?

Just like to know what it looks like. I don't understand why it's so difficult to make a choice between two candidates and then count the votes (Florida last election). The same sh1t could happen again.

So before I continue on mentioning 3'rd world voting practice I like to know.

There is no "US Ballot."

Every state has their own.

I have my Oregon mail ballot at home if you'd like I can post a picture of it.

As for Florida, if people are too damn stupid to read the directions they need to be responsible for the outcome of their vote.

I already voted here in AZ, and the ballot was like a scan-tron sheet from school. Just fill in the bubbles with a black pen. Simple as that.

OK sorry, plz post a pic of the one for the state.

Every one is different, that's the point.

I will post an Oregon mail ballot tonight, the ballot at polling locations may be different (never used one, only mail) & every other state is certainly different.

I live in FL and voted last election also and still don't see where the big issue was, it was straight forward and I did use the sample ballot I got in the mail ahead of time to just review the choices and layout.

I'll scan and post this years sample FL ballot if anyone wants.

Yes, here in Nebraska it's Scantron style (fill in the ovals with a No. 2 pencil) and I think we've got about thirty different items to vote on this time around.

Actually each district can have their own ballot I believe. Not just each state... that is why dade county was the main "problem county" in florida last election.

My AZ ballot has me "connecting the line in the broken arrow" to make my choice.
Badnarik is on the ballot in AZ with Kerry and Bush.

Nope, not a citizen so I can't vote. Just wanted to know why it's so hard to count the votes here.
Back home it's fool proof.
Each party has its own color for the ballot. Pick one, put it in an envelope and seal it. Done.

Are there more choices than 'Bush' and 'Kerry' on them?

Yes.

Like what?

Well, we're voting on an amendment to legalize gambling, four propositions to legalize gambling, whether or not some judges should be replaced, members of our public utility boards, et cetera...

Aha, I see.

I hope that's a joke. That would be considered an illegal ballot here most likely, since there are plenty of people who would be unable to distinguish at least some of the colors. Unless you mean it's a color + name or something.

Yes it's a colour + name. Forgot that.

our local ballot was printed in the weekly paper last week

each county has to publish it in newspapers before the election, check your paper and see what day they published it, then you can see it
