That "super" button. I just can't figure it out. Anyone knows?

This is an European, very cheap washing machine, the brand name is Catex or Calex, relatively common in Spain. Any research didn't come up with any information what that button might be for.

I'm guessing capacity? I remember seeing small, medium, large and super on a few washing machines back in the day.

Only way to find out is to get inside and have someone press the button.

I'm thinking capacity as well, but odd it would be a button on it's own. Normally it's just a selection knob. Is there another knob to select size? Maybe it just has a default of large, and you push that to increase load size even more. Not even sure what the different load sizes do tbh, I'm guessing it just puts more water? I never stood there and watched my machine to see if it fills more than when I select small.

It's the load. Heavy = Super
Had it's own button cause it was considered more unusual than normal to have a heavy load, expected that the majority of the time would be a normal or small load. I think smaller loads tend to clean much better anyway but that's me.

by a lot. i tend to think overloading just makes your stuff smell good but not clean. 3/4 full and youll be surprised of the result.

My washer just has a dial, and the 'regular' wash portion is labeled, IIRC, 'light,' 'normal,' and 'super.' It's just the length of the cycle.

Maybe they misspelled it, it should be supper, press, go have some, come back, laundry done. Or it maybe like the old turbo button on Pentium computers, did nothing really.

You notice that this "Super" button has its own little space on the washer? It's to show small narrow minded people like yourself how awesome it is. Folks like you should never, ever press the "Super" button. Ever. It probably releases tiny magical cleaning unicorns who defecate little balls of cleaning stuff all over your clothes. Then it releases the wee little leprechauns who scrub and scrub your clothes until they are....."Super" clean. See, the "Super" button isn't for people like you. Too much power for the likes of you to control. Don't touch it, please.

Or, it could be a setting to add more water in the tub for heavier loads. I don't know.

Peace

I'm more impressed that the machine has a built in ice maker and a wormhole generator.

It's an Eastern European model. A small, underage girl makes you a meal. They just misspelled supper. Just uttering the word 'traffic' clears entire 'restaurants' in some of those countries.

not to sound like an ass, but have you considered looking up the model number then trying to find the manual on the internet?

Interesting the wormhole generator would be on the washer too, normally that's built into dryers and does not have it's own button. It is the cause of the random missing sock phenomenon.

Somewhere in space at the mouth of a white hole, there are billions of unmatching socks floating about.
