What does sync data transfer mean and do in the CDROM drive properties?

That's for SCSI disks and SCSI-2 or higher CD-ROMs that support SDT. Windows sets it to disabled by default, likely just in case of old SCSI-1 CD-ROM's or anything IDE.

i heard u want to enable sync data for scsi cd-rom's .. both mine are (reader + burner).

heard this from both plextor sppt + nero sppt.

it's not enabled by default.

u also want 'disconnect' enabled.

try benching both with + wothout .. should see perf improvement after enabling sync data.
