A friend of mine (Sharon) is 54 years of age and wants to get her GED, but she is afraid because she can't remember taking Algebra, etc. I have no idea what she needs to take to study for the GED tests, and I really have no insights about the GED. So, I turn to the humble and reliable folks at AT who might have gotten a GED to tell me what she'll need.
Some points she mentioned to ask everyone:
1. She wants to get her GED in one session. Whatever that means. (I assume the test must be rather long if that's the case).
2. She's sort of anxious about being in a classroom and has trouble focusing under stress (have no idea how to help her here, never experienced that myself).
3. She has no idea what to study for. (I recommended Rio Salado College - Online GED Prep Test).
