I'm a gamer, what does it take to make every program work?
I have an older system put do I really need to upgrade everything?
I have a p3 450, random mb, Elsa geforce 2 ultra and I can't make this system 100% problem free.
I had a Voodoo 3 3000 and my system was 95% stable but now, help!
The only problem I had was running a couple of games, like Colin Mcrae Rally 2.0. They where in striped down version but they worked.
Now everything looks better but unstabile.
I have tried all kind of drivers but...no.
I have this american mega trends bios can someone give me some good advice.
I want upgrade, but I want to wait until the nforce board comes out.
otherwise, I would choise the Epox ddr board for now, I guess.
Even if I upgrade to a newer system will I need to step up to Windows 2000?
I have windows 98 second now.
The power supply is 250w so I don't think this the problem. ( I even unplugged the extra fans and used other fan)
Is there anybody haveing problems running Deta Force 3,colin Mcrae Ralley 2.0, Kingpin,Warlords,Sacrifice(which does look better with Geforce)?
Well I just want to know if some drivers could help, which ones, I have tried all kinds of nv drives,Elsa not even.
Can you help a bud out what does work?
Billy

Win 2K will help with the stability issues, but it sounds like some of the games you are playing are old and may not run on Win 2K. I have been running Win 2K for over a year now and I think my system crashed once during that time. At work I WAS running Win 98 and my Dell POS crashed every day at least once. I upgraded that system to Win 2K and not a problem.
