What does it take to O'clock an AMDK6/2 550...?

What does it take? A prayer? The K6-2 550 isn't a good overclocking chip. It's at it's limit. The K6-2+ and K6-3+ overclock well.

Your best bet would be to try a 110mhz fsb and 5x multi. It would still be 550, but the extra speed of the fsb would give a nice little boost. That assumes that your mobo has 110 mhz fsb and that if it does, that it would work with stability.

Mine is a K6/2 500. Tried various combinations of FSB and multiplier, but result is disappointing. Could only get mine to work at 525Mhz (=105 x 5, at 2.3V core).

Basically the K6/2 doesn't seem to OC very well.
