Requirements
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0+, Netscape 3.0+
Cookies enabled in your browser (these are enabled by default)

Registering (required to post or reply to messages on the forum)
To become a user of the forums, simply click on the register tab located on the menu bar at the top of the forums. You will then be presented with a form. This form will ask for certain pieces of information from you. Fields marked with a "*" are required fields, meaning you will not be able to submit until they are filled out properly. Once you have submitted your form, you will be sent your login information to the email address you entered. Ensure that the email address is correct prior to submission. Moderators can ban certain email addresses; so if you get a message that your email is banned, please use another email address.
Login:
This is where you will log in to use the forums. Simply enter your login information, which was emailed to you, and you will be taken to the front page of the forums.
Logout:
This is where you will logout of the forums. Once you click this it removes your login cookie, and you will then have to re-login to use the forums.
Profile:
Here you can update the information that you had supplied at registration. You can change your password here. You will notice two check boxes: one titled, "Make profile available to other users:", and the other, "Display e-mail to other users:". Below is a definition of each.
Make profile available to other users:
If you turn this on, then in each message you post, users will be able to click on View Profile and see your nickname, city, country, website, ICQ # and email address.
Display e-mail to other users:
This requires the profile option to be enabled. It will display your email in the profile as well.
Customize:
You can customize your settings for the forums. We will explain each option below.
Color Choices:
This allows you to select different colors for the forums. This includes the main forum color and the background color.
How many of the latest threads would you like to see when you enter a category?
This allows you to select how many threads you can see. The default is "yesterdays". So you would only see threads posted from yesterday to today.
How many topics do you want listed when you enter a category?
The limit of threads shown is 20 by default. You can cycle through the rest using the Next 20 button. If you want to see more threads, change the setting here.
How many messages do you want listed when you enter a thread?
This sets how many messages you want viewed in a thread. Sometimes threads can get quite large, so this feature allows you to view the messages a set amount per page.
Would you like the threads sorted by date in Ascending order or Descending order?
This allows you to view threads sorted by date in ascending or descending order.
Would you like the messages sorted by date in Ascending order or Descending order?
This allows you to view messages sorted by date in ascending or descending order.
Would you like to see most recent replied to thread on top?
This setting allows you to view threads sorted by most recent replys.
If you are on a slow connection, choose the standard graphics mode to make the forums faster for you.
This is for the low bandwidth users. If you choose standard mode, you will not see the author icons or the graphical toolbars in the message view. Choosing standard mode reduces the page size by almost half.
Search
You can search any forum you like by thread title, or nickname.
Misc Tools
On the front page of the forum, you will notice a drop-down labeled, "misc tools". This contains various tools for the user.
Posting a New Thread
Simply click on the category you are interested in. Once you get there, you will see a New Topic tab in the menu bar. Fill in the title and body of the message.
Replying to a Thread
Click reply on the message and fill in the body.
Censorship
The administrator has an option that can be enabled. If you get the message, "Your post contains forbidden words", it means a word in your post matches a word that the administrator has banned.

Ranking
When reading messages, you will see titles under the authors nickname. These are indicators of the amount of posts they have made. The schema is below.
