What does it mean when you can access your web server control panel by IP, but not by domain name?

I know, wrong forum, but I need help ASAP.

I have a reseller account, and none of the domains I host can access their websites or email. I can log into all the control panels, by IP, and the server status shows everything is fine. I cannot ping the server with any of the hosted domain names.
Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

www.gocharles.com is one of the websites.

Could you try it and see if it is working?

Propagation. Can take up to 48 hours.

Basically it's the time it takes for a bunch of DNS servers around the world to update themselves to know that your domain name points to a particular IP.

All the rest of the 20+ domains I host all went down at the same time.

Does your webhost, theplanet do your DNS as well as your hosting? If so, you need to drop them a line and see what's up.

Ok, I just got off the phone with my brother. He said all the sites worked for him.
He is in the same town, but has a different ISP.
I manually entered his DNS servers in my computer and I everything works now.
My ISP is verizon DSL, this would show it is a problem with them, not my host, correct?
