Like they start to get warm... does that mean anything? Can alcohol (liquor) do that to you?
Yes, alcohol can do that too you.

my ears get hot after they get cold
Alcohol tends to open your capillaries thus flushing your extremities with blood. This will make your cheeks blush and your ears, eyelids, etc feel warm. It's perfectly normal. Now go to bed before the room starts to spin.

we say the samething that if your ears get hot it means someone is talking about you (as long as you are not drinking alcohol)
