I don't know what it's like to kill someone. I'd like to never find out quite honestly. I know that I am capable of it but I'd rather go through life without ever having to face the psychological repercussions of that.

If it was my job and my life on the line I don't know that I'd feel the same things this guy did though. Maybe he's just an overly sensitive Marine. 😛

If you do not want to kill anyone, do not join the military.


BTW, I do not know how I would feel afterwards, but if I or my family was in danger, I just cannot see myself hesitating in anyway to kill someone. I have thought and said, for as long as I can remember, that, if someone breaks into my home, if I get the upper hand, they are dead - period. I will deal with the law and psych later.

Excellent cliffs, but you might want to mention that it's the first Iraq war, and not the second one.

And although I don't think that I've personally earned the right to call him a pussy to his face, I'm sure that there are a lot of hardened combat vets who have. I'll let them do it... they're probably better fighters than I am, anyway 🙂
