What does it feel like to be shot?

It's a warm, fuzzy feeling. Shot myself about 10 years ago down my leg. Went straight thru and didn't hit anything. Didn't even know it happened at first. I mean I knew what happened, but didn't know that it actually hit me. Was just kind of numb and thought it may have just been because the blast was so close. Then after the numbness went away (only lasted a few seconds) had this warm tingly feeling. It was actually felt pretty good. Like having that KY warming...Wasn't much blood, and could walk fine. Went to the hospital and got patched up and never had a problem.

ID10T error on my part of not having it pointed in a better direction...was a revolver and when the hammer was pulled back, it didn't "catch" and fell, discharging it. The maker fixed it for free though 🙂

I think it depends on where you are shot. Gut is supposed to be the worst, or so I hear. Kneecaps would smart a bit I would think. Head might hurt a lot, but not very long.

I sw a show on the Discovery Channel a while back. This guy paid someone to shoot him in the shoulder, as a form of body modification. The gun was a .38 I believe. At any rate the shooter said he would count to 3, then fire....he fired on 2, which was actually funny.
I dont think the idiot who paid for this was expecting as much pain as it caused.
There was an ambulance waiting outside, which took him immediately to the hospital.

I'm more afraid of being horribly mangled in a car accident, and left on the road, looking at the sole of my foot as it is stuck on my chest, impaled on several protruding ribs as I take my last breath . . .

getting shot would suck, but If i die violently it will probably happen in a car wreck or by a homemade explosive, if this war thing escalates into a draft.

Shock, then numbness, and then comes the pain... I've been shot once - with a small caliber weapon -, and there's nothing about it that would be worth repeating.

Another American mentioned "draft" to me. Was it a coincidence or have they been thinking about it?

Well I havent died, but of all the ways to check out, being shot (depending on where and with what like HappyPuppy says) is one of the better I would think.

Personally I think being crushed under the wheels of a vehicle and dying as a result would suck more.

Being crushed > drowning

being set on fire would be the worst way to go

agreed thats why flamethrowers arent used anymore in war... stupid geneva convention

😉

When did they start outlawing flamethrowers anyways? I thought they were still being used in WWII?

Yes it is true. The Democrats would like to reinstate the draft. Well they don't really but in line with their traditional dumbass thinking they think it would stop wars because of protest against it.

Hmm... "the Democrats want to reinstate the draft"... This is an example not of traditional dumbass Democratic thinking but of traditional Republican lying and/or ignorance. Yes, there are people suggesting the reinstatement of the draft (as more of a mandatory service principle), but it is hardly a Democratic party platform. We wouldn't hold the Republican party responsible for every dumb thing one of its members suggested. Also... I've heard many conservatives in the recent year (not politicians but my friends) argue on behalf of mandatory military service, so it's not just Democrats.
