"I'll poop out devices that suck ass and idiots will buy them because theyll be recockulously overpriced and therefore people will automatically think they are good.
 Overpriced maybe (but not really as the demand is so high), suck - not even close. No other device comes with the ease of use and simplicity of the iPod. You are just a mac hater. You mean to tell me that if these devices sucked so much ass pretty much every hardware review site on the internet is wrong and almost every person in the United States & World is also an idiot and for some reason YOU have figured it out. YOU are the genius who realized the iPod sucked.
thats pretty much true
the average sheep idiot does not read reviews at all, the vast majority of ipod owners fall into that catagorie, hell many dont even realize there are other mp3 players that arnt ipods
iriver, iaudio, creative and the fucking Zune are all better then any of apples offerings

iPod beats everything for real world functionality IMO
Well maybe not but it's definitely the best balance for functionality + portability. I mean everyone worshiped the Zen but that thing is a brick. I remember my 4G iPod compared to that thing and the Dell DJ. No comparison. Now my iPod Touch. Seriously. NO COMPARISON. You can't beat the click wheel.
In my experience, the click wheel sucks with a large collection. I like the Zen's scroller better. The button in the center of the click wheel is also too small.

The name iPod was proposed by Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who (with others) was called by Apple to figure out how to introduce the new player to the public. After Chieco saw a prototype, he thought of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the phrase "Open the pod bay door, Hal!", which refers to the white EVA Pods of the Discovery One spaceship.[5] Apple researched the trademark and found that it was already in use. Joseph N. Grasso of New Jersey had originally listed an "iPod" trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2000 for Internet kiosks. The first iPod kiosks had been demonstrated to the public in New Jersey in March 1998, and commercial use began in January 2000, but had apparently been discontinued by 2001. The trademark was registered by the USPTO in November 2003, and Grasso assigned it to Apple Computer, Inc. in 2005.[7]
EDIT: Oh... I've been scooped by Eug...
