What does instaling Dnet as a service do?

It runs in the backround. You can't even tell it's running. I think you run the client with the -install switch to install it as a service.

Also, if you are doing this on a WIn9x machine, after you type in dnetc -install, you need to type dnetc -svcstart. This starts the service, otherwise it won't start until you reboot the machine.

If it's a NT machine, just go into the Services app and start the application.
