What does 'Household Income' imply when applying for a credit card?

Does it mean the combined income of both you and your spouse?

I ask because i current co-habiate with my fiancee and wonder if i could add her salary into mine to come up with my current 'Household Income'

Add up whomever the CC company can legally sue if needed. A girlfriend/boyfriend doesn't legally owe the CC company any money.

Well we may end up getting a civil ceremony in a little bit anyway for insurance purposes :D

Do it for her, do it for the taxes (helps a lot of couples as well but some high income couples are hurt here), do it for the gifts (you should net $8k to $10k if you have a reception), do it for free money (if either of you are in school), or do it for fun. There is no reason to put it off.

Well we want a big weddding when i graduate in 2 years, but we may do a civil ceremony sooner rather than later.
