What does hitting SHIFT + HOME do?

Click some random place on the page. Do the key combo. You'll see that everything from the point you click to the top of the page is highlighted (in most cases). Otherwise it just highlights from that point to the first break of some kind. When I do it, the entire post gets highlighted if I click in someone's sig before doing it, but not to the top of the page.

yea, shift let you highlight the text between where the cursor is, and where you click next. so shift + home highlights all text in word before cursor in word.

Yeah..seems only to do it in Firefox though. In IE it's the same as just hitting Home.

It's just another operator to make copy & paste easier... or at least that's what I've told myself. :p

I use shift while using control and directional keys all of the time to control highlighting.
