Read this in a world war 2 book I'm reading... I understand what it means, but it's funny to logically think about it.
What is it that makes someone farm faced?
This was used to describe a 20 something farm boy from Midwest
Like Charles Lindbergh farm face or Sam Elliot farm face or Jeff Daniels farm face? (Three people who generally are referenced as Midwest rural characters, all with totally different features)
That's like calling someone city faced and that doesn't mean anything either.
I guess it just draws up the total image of a farm kid, not necessarily the face.....so why is it that adding face is so effective at drawing a total image?
