yep, its whiny rock usually done with no vocal talent, emo stands for emotional.
 
emo is all that is played on most "alternative rock" stations in MI anymore. God, it really sucks.... buncha whiney teens singing how life sucks....
It's the "in" thing i guess. to me, it all sounds the same
