1. coup de la
Close; tight; can keep a secret without talking, especially to the other guy's lady.
Man, I thought we were coup de la? Why'd you go and tell her that?

According to urbandictionary.

Translates to "Blow of" according to Google.

Holy crap. I figured it was spelled with a p like "coup de etat" and "coup" but for some reason didn't type the p when I searched. Thanks.

Edit: So "coup" means blow? Like a blow dealt to a government? Doesn't really make sense here..

Edit: Also I knew what it meant when Krazee said it, just not the French meaning.

Is it "coup de la" or is it "coup de ta"? The second is a phrase used to represent a takeover (usually planned secretly and done abruptly) of a government/business (although nearly always it's used to describe the sudden takeover of a government)
