I have a 80 and 120 gb Maxtor HDD and when I first boot up my system, my motherboard see's those hdd's as LBA 80GB blah blah.. I know what LBA means but resently I got a 120 GB seagate HDD that says CHS instead of LBA on the motherboard post screen.

Just wondering what CHS means. Thanks.

CHS stands for : Cylinders Heads Sectors... its just a way of computing drive capacity... 🙂 C x H x S x 512 bytes/sector IIRC
