what does bump mean????

can someone please tell me what "bump" means. I keep seeing it in the forums and i dont know what it means.

I think it has something to do with the noise your car makes after hitting a pot hole. ;)

It's a dose of speed up the nose.
Hence a speed bump. Looks like a small version of one when lined out on the glass.
That's what my friend told me anyway ;-)
