What does "Bed and Breakfast" mean exactly?

Does it mean that the house owner has an extra room and is willing to rent it out and provide breakfast service to the guest?

Or the house is empty is used exclusively for rent w/o signing a minimum lease?

It means you get a bed and some breakfast. It could mean just 1 extra room, or it could mean a budget motel type where all the rooms are rented out.

Usually a bed and breakfast is like a large house/mansion with a rooms that they rent out. There is no room service. They give you a time when they will be serving breakfast and everyone that is being accommodated eats together.

You should check a few out prior to their visit to make sure.

If so, they would share it with whoever else is staying there and/or the people that own the place.

Hot chick in bed at night and then when you're done, brings you breakfast in morning

OK I made that up.

The owners (usually mom/dad team) will obviously know what you're up to if it's two relatively young people going to a B&B...

When I went we had full access, pool table, living room, indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi. It was in Port Perry, ON, about 1 hr from GTA, quiet towns around it.

They aren't necessarily inexpensive. I've been to some that were twice the price of nearby hotels. It depends on the house, meals, etc.
