I'm not sure what he means.

Do you even humor, bro? By 23 seconds in, it was obvious (to me) that he was interjecting silliness for humor and to keep it light hearted. He mentioned "coming in many flavors" before rattling off a few other descriptors and ending the sentence with "banana".

Take it slightly less seriously.

i read a sci-fi book by this guy one time ("the fifth science"), it was pretty good

after that i found out he had supposedly bailed to bulgaria to avoid rape allegations

it was still a good book though
