what does || A x B || signify mathematically?

Is that supposed to be a modulus?
If so, then AxB = ABsin(theta) = C, where C is perpendicular to both vectors A and B.
Then |AxB| = |C| = magnitude of the vector C.

Or have I been reading waaaay too much electromagnetics? 😛
