The only good thing though is I will be getting a lot of government aid for college as my father only makes $24,000 a year and my parents are divorced.

I am asking as non-insulting as I can, but what does he do and why? Is he injured or disabled in some way?

He is a Janitor at a medical facility.

We do get free rent though as he works on the side for our land lord so it does offset the low income somewhat although he has to work more.

Well, I (hate? strongly dislike? am repulsed by?) can't stand the entire idea of idiots not being able to stand the idea of being born. Do you realize that you wouldn't be here if it weren't for procreation? Do you realize that there would be no human life without procreation? Do you think before you speak/write?

I (and my wife) brought my kids into this world. We owe them our best efforts at helping them become decent, productive citizens. Whatever that takes. I don't think you can put an exact tag, such as "their own room", "xxx clothes", etc, on it. I have a particular view of how my kids should be raised and what that entails, other people have theirs. As long as everyone involved is pleased with the end result, that's what matters.
