What does a liberal republican stand for?

Stay for? A "liberal republican" would likely be referred to as a moderate, which means they are close to the center in ideology, but lean to the right. Keep in mind that the US center is shifted to the right when compared to the rest of the world.

I AM a liberal Republican, so I can answer this accurately. IMO victimless crimes, like prostitution, gambling and marijuana smoking should be legal. I also want the damn government the fvck out of my business, like whether I wear my seatbelt in my car, or helmet on a motorcycle. The government also has no business telling me who to hire, or how much I should pay them. I don't want a damn nanny government trying to take care of my retirement via their lame ass Social Security, or forcing employers to pay for our health care, as Hillary insists they should.

I think Ornery has exactly the libertarian ideology. Maybe Liberal republican means the same thing.
 
Liberal Republicans and Conservative Democrats, are pretty much libertarians.

They are socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Conservative Democrats put more focus on social issues, and liberal republicans put more focus on fiscal issues.
 
I am Libertarian. No point in voting for a Libertarian candidate though, is there? The Libertarians agree far more with the GOP on important issues than they do with Democrats. I ain't worried about the GOP causing me trouble with the petty issues we disagree on.

The Democrats on the other hand, will cause serious consequences on most issues. From this fvcking Social Security fiasco, to national health care, their "great ideas" will fvck us all up in the end. Even their pain in the ass harassment legislation came back and bit 'em in their own ass in the form of Paula Jones. Gotta laugh at that ish! 😛

I don't think I'd want to fvck with policies that concern our food supply. Sugar and tobacco is another story. Ole' Senator Byrd could fill you in on those details...

Who was president the last time we had significant Welfare Reform? I think it's safe to say that was a great success, and I don't care who pulled it off, I'll take more of the same!

Social equality is one thing, but hiring quotas and the like is over the top. Not to mention the ludicrous harassment legislation I mentioned before. Christ, you can't even compliment a woman's attire without risking the entire company's future!

so basically liberal republican is totally against strong central government AND state government? I agreed with all those view points you state, so i guess i really am a liberal republican. is there a website on more information about liberal republican?
