so like all college students, I am looking for a job.
Here are 2 that I found. the first one is titled "Engineering Technician" by MetCo. descriptions include making concrete cylinders, testing soil in field and lab.
Does anyone have any idea on the job? Like, is it doing work in lab, or is it more like grunt work? I prefer paper/pencil, computer, and/or staying in lab doing experiemens...those type of things...what do they mean by "making cylinders"? like, using a big truck of cement?
what kind of job enviornment is this?
Then, there is job 2. which is webpage designer for NextTel. Now, the requirements include "webpage design experience, java, html, and php. I have my own webpage, so I know the basics of making webpags. I took java in college(but I really suck at it), I know html fairly well, and I dotn know php.
I would like to apply, but I dont know if I qualify...it sounds like something I would like to do......
What do webpage designers do? I mean, will I actually need to use Java to write programs?
