what do you use to wash your car?

Looking for some suggestions on what to use to wash my car with. Checked Google and there are tons of products but no good recommendations. I'm looking for everything from wash to wax and how often without effecting the paint.

To wash, get a car shampoo as it doesn't strip the wax off the car. Get a good mitt or sponge to wash it with.

To dry, get a chamois (leather or synthetic), some people prefer microfiber towels but synthetic chamois' work great for me.

Wax - your personal preference, I use Meguire's.

I use one of those soft bristle brushes, like the ones at car washes but alot softer. I have used these, along with a lot of people I know and it doesn't leave swirl marks on your vehicle like others do, just use a seperate brush to wash your wheels/tires. And be sure to clean them out good.

As for soaps, thats still up in the air with me, I haven't decided what I like the best yet. I have been using this California Gold stuff, it seems to be working well.

I use one of many products labeled for washing cars. They're usually blue liquids. As long as I get suds, I've never noticed a difference. (The soap just loosens the dirt; the water and the sponge/brush are doing the actual work.)

For wax, I use Meguire's products. Last time, I used something called Meguire's NXT or Next--something like that (IRRC, it comes in green and purple packaging) and it was very easy to use and looks good.
