I have a DVD with light scratches that I want to repair, the disk plays fine until it gets near the end. Is there a way to repair it without doing further damage?

Yup, another vote for toothpaste. Just make sure you rub radially out from the center of the disk.

You might try to find a business or a flea market or somewhere that has a resurfacing machine. We have one at work that we use from time to time. It generally works pretty well but we don't guarantee the discs to work after we're done with them. If you can find a place like that, I wouldn't think that it would cost more than $3-4.

I have a disc that wont play on my DVD player or any player on my comp. If i play the VOB files individually it plays fine. but then i only have working vob files, the menu files and stuff dont work when i convert it to an ISO and burn. I wouldnt care much but its my favorite TV show (firefly) ... anyone ever use those Dr.scratch things... I have a rather large collection and alot of them are scratched. I think it might be the case im using, any ideas for a good case that doesnt scratch discs when i put them in and pull them out?? any help wud be appretiated...
